Minutes of meeting held on 2nd August 2011

The minutes were accepted as an accurate record.

Matters Arising


It was agreed that Clare Davidson be contacted regarding the overgrown verge on Main Road. Cllr. M. Turnbull to ring her initially, then write a letter.


Blocked Gullies

There are two more blocked gullies in Chapel Lane.


East Riding of Yorkshire Council - email

The Clerk emailed Deryck Ellis to tell him the Council does not want to receive planning documents by email.


Ralph Ward

The clerk will ring Ralph Ward regarding the £5,000 flood grant we have not claimed from East Riding of Yorkshire Council.  After a discussion it was agreed that if possible our £5,000 will be put towards the Burstwick Drain project.


Declaration of Interest

There were no declarations of interest.


Humber Management Scheme - e-newsletter

It was agreed we would like to be added to the mailing list to receive the Ebb and Flow e-newsletter.


Flood Defences

Cllr. M. Turnbull will contact the Environment Agency to complain that work has not been done as per the maintenance agreement.  He will also ask that a sensible maintenance scheme be put in place, one which will be adhered to.



A letter has been received from East Riding of Yorkshire Council asking that a poster be put in the notice board inviting residents to join the School Admission Appeal Panels.

There was no public speaking.
