The question was asked “how often do you use the Post Office”, the responses ranged, from more than once a week to once a month. However, 53% of respondents stated that they never used it.
There was a fairly even spread of facilities used at the Post Office, these included paying bills (30%) to buying mobile top-ups (20%).
There was a good response to the question of what business activities should be encouraged in Skeffling, the highest being a farmers market (25%). A similar amount (24%) thought that small business enterprise in general should be supported, a further 22% of respondents thought that the bed and breakfast trade should be encouraged.
Action
- To establish that all residents are aware of the Post Office opening times and what services are available.
- To communicate with neighbouring parishes and establish if there is a wider need for a farmers market in the area.
- To encourage any appropriate small business opportunities in the area.
