Matters Arising

Adoption of Telephone Box

The Clerk will email Linda Kennedy to ask about progress to the Council's adoption of the telephone box.

Localism Act 2011 - Code of Conduct

After a long discussion on this item, it was agreed the Clerk write to Matthew Buckley at East Riding of Yorkshire Council saying the following:-

"We cannot adopt the Code of Conduct 2012 as it stands.  We wish to continue with the previous Code of Conduct which we signed to cover this term.  However, with regard to the interests of spouses/partners, etc., we do not agree that these should be published on the East Riding of Yorkshire Council website as this is an infringement of their human rights."

This letter to be sent by Recorded Delivery to ensure its safe arrival at East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

Graham Stuart has written outlining the Government's plans to roll out faster Broadband, especially to rural areas.  He has asked us to inform all residents.  Cllr. M. Turnbull has forms regarding this and will copy them and deliver to every household in the village.  These can then be filled in and return to Graham Stuart with the householders views.

Precept 2013/14

This is a reminder that we shall soon be receiving a request for the Precept for the years 2013/14.  If Councillors have ideas for any projects they should be discussed and costed at the next meeting so the Precept can be set.
