Matters Arising

Yorkshire Water

Cllr. J. F. Robinson has written to Philip Winn and a copy was circulated amongst councillors.  A postcard has been received acknowledging receipt of the letter promising a reply would follow. Cllr. J. F. Robinson proposed we liaise with Welwick and Weeton Parish Councils regarding Set Back.

Seconded:  Cllr. P. Payne

Vote:  Yes 5,   abstentions 1

Declaration of Interest

There were no declarations of interest.

Bench at Crossroads

Cllr. J. F. Robinson suggested we move quickly towards siting a bench at the crossroads.  He will contact Highways Department to reinforce in writing the permission we received verbally last year to site the bench. Cllr. R. Newsam proposed that Cllr. J. F. Robinson contact Mike Peeke and Laura to confirm, in writing, permission to site the bench at the crossroads.

Seconded:  Cllr. J. Sizer

Vote:  carried unanimously

Village Green Boundary and Maintenance

Cllr. J. F. Robinson suggested fencing the boundary of the Village Green to establish the perimeter of Parish Land.  This is something which should be sorted out now to protect the land for the future.  It was agreed to defer this item until Cllr. M. Turnbull was present as he has greater knowledge of recent events and there was a lot to discuss on the matter.  Item deferred to April meeting.

Grants Website

Cllr. L. Payne and Cllr. J. F. Robinson have agreed to investigate any available grants to improve facilities in both the Village Hall and the village.  Cllr. J. Sizer has agreed to search the Internet for any possible grants which would benefit the village.

Proposed:   Cllr. R. Newsam

Seconded:  Cllr. J. F. Robinson

Vote:  carried unanimously

Two items were included in the monthly file for circulation.  These were Ambulance Reforms in the East Riding and Area Forum Consultation Papers.

The meeting closed at 8.25 p.m.
