Matters Arising

A cheque was raised in the sum of £7.10p. to pay for the Standing Orders and Chairmanship booklet.

Yorkshire Water

Cllr. M. Turnbull reported that all the records have been lost by Yorkshire Water, not just those regarding the hedging.  Cllr. M. Turnbull is sending a copy of the remedial work to be done. Yorkshire Water have asked what work is still left to do.  There is to be a walk around with Yorkshire Water to check on the work already done and what is still to be done.  The filtration plant is still not coping with excess water properly.  It is overflowing for some days after heavy rain fall.  This is to be checked again by Yorkshire Water.  It was agreed to take date stamped photos and keep a log of the water by passing the system for one month.  The system might not have the capacity to cope with run off water.  Cllr. P. Payne will get the hedging and planting will be done on Saturday 19th March.

It is proving very difficult to find an insurance company who will cover the building, play area and public liability.  Zurich Municipal are prepared to cover the building, public liability, and include the play  area  for  free.   Our  present  insurers,  Hedon  Insurance,  will  not  cover  everything. Cllr. M. Turnbull will complete the forms for Zurich Municipal who will then quote for the annual premium.

We are still waiting for the letter notifying us of the proposed visit.  The clerk was instructed to ring Steve Roberts regarding the new problems at Laurel Farm corner.  Cllr. M. Turnbull will contact Langeled to ask them for a meeting to show them the damage being caused by the HGVs going through the village.

Declaration of Interest

There were no declarations of interest.

Yorkshire Water - Land Registration

Mr. Clegg, the Land Agent, is happy with the arrangements with Yorkshire Water and is negotiating the final payments with Yorkshire Water's Land Agent.  This will include the balance of payment on the sale of the land, the annual payment of £300, and the weekly payments for the use of the land by Yorkshire Water. Andrew Cooney of Lockings is happy with the legal side and will draw up the final papers regarding the land registry.

A letter has been received asking for contact details in the case of an emergency. It was agreed that Cllr. S. Rollinson be Planning Officer for the Emergency Plan.

Proposed:   Cllr. M. Turnbull
