Matters Arising

Cllr. M. Turnbull had a meeting with Nick Ward of the Environment Agency regarding the clough and gearbox at the Pumping Station.  Mr. Ward said his men had checked the clough and it was fine.  Cllr. M. Turnbull and Mr. Ward went to see for themselves and could see it was not good. Mr. Ward is going to ensure his men come back with the digger and clear the clough out to the very end.

Winsett's Track

Signs and finger posts are now in place.  The track is being well used by horses and riders, walkers and bike riders.

Annual Audit

An email has been received from Vivienne Holtom who is our Auditor for this year.  She requested further information and explanations for significant variations.  The Clerk has gone through the accounts again and replied to this with the required explanations.  No response from the Auditor has been received to date.

Declaration of Interest

Cllr. M. Turnbull declared an interest in Item 6, Planning Application at Sun House, Chapel Lane, Skeffling.

Resignation

Cllr. J. F. Robinson has tendered his resignation from the Council.  It was accepted with regret and unanimously agreed that Mr. Robinson had always been a hard-working councillor, who achieved a great deal during his service to the village.  Never one to shy away from the hardest task, Mr. Robinson approached his dedication to improving the facilities in the village with energy and a determination to complete whatever project he was involved with.  He will be a great loss to the Council.  A letter will be written to Mr. Robinson to this effect, adding that he would be warmly welcomed back in the future if he chose to return.

New Signatory

Owing  to  Mr. Robinson's  resignation  a  new  signatory  will be required.  It was agreed that Cllr. J. Sizer become the third signatory.

Expenses

Mr. Robinson has put in a claim for £25 to cover the cost of lawn mower petrol used to keep the Village Hall grass and verges cut and maintained.  A cheque was raised in this amount.

Proposed:   Cllr. P. Payne

Seconded:  Cllr. S. Rollinson

Vote:  carried unanimously
