Matters Arising

Yorkshire Water

The cheque to reimburse the Council for the hedging has not been received.  Cllr. J. F. Robinson will continue chasing this.  Cllr. J. F. Robinson has also been in touch with the Legal Department in respect of the cheque for rental owed to the Council. This has not yet been received, but Yorkshire Water has assured us this has not been overlooked.  A system has been put in place at Yorkshire Water to ensure that the monies for the annual rent will be sent to us automatically on the 30th June each year.  This will remain in place for 20 years and will be reviewed, as agreed, in 5 years time.  We will still send an Invoice for our records.

This item has  been put on hold for the time being as Langeled may provide us with benches. This has yet to be confirmed.

Declaration of Interest

There were no declarations of interest.

Kindlegarth (05/07380/CLE)

Correspondence has been received from East Riding Council asking for confirmation that the original caravan at Kindlegarth has been on site for more than ten years. Mr. Brown is asking for permission for this caravan to be replaced with a newer model.  The use of the caravan to be for a 'chill-out' room and storage.  It was agreed that the original caravan has been on the site for more than 10 years.

Cllr. M. Turnbull will reply to East Riding to the effect that there is one caravan on site which has been there for more than 10 years.  The other two caravans have not, and are recent additions.

Two cheque's have been received from East Riding of Yorkshire Council for recycling payments covering six months.  These amount to £54.96p.

A letter has been received from Graham Stuart MP requesting the names and addresses of all councillors.  After a discussion it was agreed that the clerk write to Mr. Stuart declining to provide this information, and asking that any correspondence and communication be done through the clerk to the Parish Council as a body, and not as individuals.

A cheque was raised in the sum of £70 for the purchase of 14 telegraph poles. These were bought from Martin Houghton and are to be used in the play area.

The meeting closed at 8.10 p.m.

Date of next meeting:   7th February 2006
