Flood Defences

The Environment Agency are proposing to bring forward the flooding plans for the Estuary. Nothing definite has been arranged yet, and this proposal may be changed.

Cllr. M. Turnbull has been in touch with the Environment Agency to arrange a meeting.  During this the problem with the gear box will be sorted out.  They also plan to clean the clough and make sure everything is working properly.

Election Expenses

An invoice and breakdown of costs amounting to £132.42p. has been received from East Riding of Yorkshire Council for the 2011 election.  It was felt an explanation was needed for the amount as it seemed rather high for a non-contested election.  The Clerk will ring Mrs. Parnaby to query the charges.

Proposed:   Cllr. M. Turnbull

Seconded:  Cllr. J. F. Robinson

Vote:  carried unanimously

Archive Material

There are two boxes of Council papers and booklets with the Clerk.  It was agreed Cllr. J. F. Robinson would collect these and sort out the items to keep and those to be destroyed.

Cllr. M. Turnbull has taken the cans for recycling to Alcan.  The money received amounted to £45.50p, which will be added to the recycling fund.  From the awards point scheme run by Alcan, Cllr. M. Turnbull has ordered 16 t-shirts and 4 footballs.
