Matters Arising  -  2nd November meeting

Wind Turbine

Cllr. J. F. Robinson has contacted Proven.  It was suggested we accept their deal to service the turbine and replace the blades.  This will cost £250.  The Council is reluctant to accept this deal without a 5 year guarantee which Proven do not want to give us.  Cllr. J. F. Robinson will continue negotiating with Proven.

Aerial at 7 West View

It was agreed to write to the Planning Department asking about the legality of the 9 metre mast as no planning application was made for this mast.  Cllr. J. Sizer will get the relevant photos from Mr. Atkinson and these will be included in the letter with a timeline of events.

Npower - Streetlight

Cllr. M. Turnbull has rung npower.  He spoke to Jade Lincoln who was going to send Invoices so that Cllr. M. Turnbull has a figure to negotiate a final settlement.  To date this has not been received.   Cllr.  M.  Turnbull  will  ring  npower  again   to   try   and   sort   out   the   situation.

Cllr. J. F. Robinson proposed we contact npower to terminate the connection and a letter be sent confirming this.

Seconded:  Cllr. J. Sizer

Vote:  carried unanimously

Cllr. M. Turnbull will ring Jade Lincoln to tell her we are terminating the connection.

Precept

It was agreed that, owing to the financial crisis in the country, the precept will not be increased. The Precept will, therefore, remain at £1,320 for the year 2011/2012.

Proposed:   Cllr. M. Turnbull

Seconded:  Cllr. J. F. Robinson

Vote:  carried unanimously

Flood Defences

Claire Gavina of the Environment Agency attended the meeting to discuss our problems. Unfortunately, nothing was resolved.

Correspondence

There was no correspondence.  Owing to the extremely bad weather, no postal deliveries have been received for 10 days.

Meeting closed at 8.45pm
