Chairman's Report

Following an uncontested election on 5th May, the Parish Council remains the same.

The street light is now up and problems with npower has been sorted out.

This has not been a very productive year, and no new projects have been started.  Not much happened this year.

The Environment Agency have been active at the pumping station but the matter has not been resolved, and the problems will be watched carefully during the following year.  This problem will be pursued as this is part of our flood defences.

Work on Winsett's Track has now, hopefully, reached a conclusion.  We are hoping the track will be open for the summer.

A start has been made to essential maintenance work on the playground.  There is still a lot to do and volunteers will be asked to complete the work.

Skeffling Community Website has noticed a lot of new visitors to the site.  The Council section has proved very popular, with many people reading the minutes online.  A new feature has been introduced with a direct link to East Riding of Yorkshire Council's Planning Department.  This has proved invaluable as it has not been easy negotiating this part of the East Riding's website.

The re-routing of the right of way at Winsett's Farm is about to be finalised and, hopefully, the new restricted byway will be in use very shortly.

Whilst it has been a quiet year the Council will continue with their plans to improve the facilities and quality of life in Skeffling.

The meeting was closed at 7:25 p.m.
