Financial Report

The financial report for the year 2003/2004 was presented to the Council.

Chairman's Report

This year has been a year of sorting out issues and finishing projects.  The land owned by the Parish has now been registered with the Land Registry, putting an end to any confusion and clarifying the situation for future generations.

The filtration plant is now up and running, and, while there are still a few issues under review with Yorkshire Water, the project is finally coming to an end.

Streetscene was another project which was important to the village.  After a comprehensive site inspection a lot of work was done to improve pathways, roads and signs.  Unfortunately, the onset of the work by British Gas at Easington has created problems, Streetscene will, once again, be inspecting the problems this has caused in the village, and reparation work will take place.

This coming year we have a few other projects in conjunction with the Village Hall.  One of which is a play area for the children.  There is still plenty of work to do to improve the facilities in the village.

The Council has worked hard this year, and with the continued help of the Council and the community we will get it all done.  We are all working to same ends, to make the village better for everyone.

The meeting was closed at 7.25 p.m.
