Matters Arising

Environment Agency

Cllr. M. Turnbull has had no contact with the Environment Agency, therefore, there has been no progress on resolving the problems.

Playground

The fencing will be purchased in the next few days and the work completed as soon as possible.

Adoption of Telephone Box

The Clerk has contacted Karen Smith and BT with regard to the Council adopting the telephone box.  BT have said they will contact East Riding of Yorkshire Council for their permission for the Council to adopt the telephone box and will contact the Clerk when this has been given.

Planning Application for Wind Turbine at Buckles Farm

Since notification from East Riding of Yorkshire Council that this planning application was refused the Council has learned the application was resubmitted and passed.  Skeffling Parish Council was not notified of this planning application and was, therefore, not given the opportunity to discuss the merits of it.

Localism Act 2011 – Code of Conduct

The Clerk will write to Julie Lidster with the Council’s concerns about aspects of the Code of Conduct.  They did not feel able to adopt the Code until pecuniary and non-pecuniary interests of Councillors spouses/partners, etc. had been explained in full.  It was felt that the wording of the Code leaves this aspect open to interpretation which is not acceptable.

Declaration of Interest

There were no declarations of interest.

Planning Application – Swanland Cottage, Chapel Lane, Skeffling

The Planning Application for an extension to Swanland Cottage was recommended for approval by East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

Proposed:   Cllr. M. Turnbull

Seconded:  Cllr. S. Rollinson

Vote:  carried unanimously
