No work has yet been done on the Streetscene scheme. We have received notification from East Riding of Yorkshire Council that the overgrown verge on Main Road is the responsibility of the land owner. This matter has arisen before and it was agreed with East Riding of Yorkshire Council then that the verge is their responsibility.
Cllr. M. Turnbull proposed: "we write to Claire Davidson of East Riding of Yorkshire Council quoting Section 58 regarding the clearing of verges.
Seconded: Cllr. J. F. Robinson: with the proviso we point out again that the verge belongs to East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

Proven have been to check the turbine. They have corrected the noise caused by the blades. They also fitted a new set of springs. Proven will be keeping a close watch on any future problems.
Cllr. J. F. Robinson reported to East Riding of Yorkshire Council that gullies in Chapel Lane and Dump Corner were blocked. These have now been cleared.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council Electronic Plans
We have received an email from Deryck Ellis of East Riding of Yorkshire Council to say that from 15th August all correspondence, plans, maps, etc, from the Planning Department will be received electronically. After a long discussion it was decided Skeffling Parish Council would prefer to receive all documents in hard copy via the post. The clerk will email Deryck Ellis with our decision.
Cllr. J. F. Robinson was approached by a resident of the Parish suggesting that if there were any budding musicians in the village who needed somewhere to practice they could use the Village Hall. This will be passed to the Village Hall Committee as this would come under their jurisdiction.
Cllr. M. Turnbull will write to the Environment Agency regarding work done to the clough last week.
A letter has been received from Mr. Ralf Ward, Clerk to the Board, of South Holderness Consortium of Keyingham, Ottringham, Skeffling, Winestead and Thorngumbald, Preston Drainage Boards. Asking if we would like Digital Maps for the Board responsible for our Parish showing the areas for which we are responsible. The clerk will email Mr. Ward that Skeffling Parish Council would be pleased to have these.
