Significant Variations in Accounts for Year 2009/2010
Item 1 - £1,341
Last year the amount of £3,480 included a grant of £1,600 from Awards For All to produce our Parish Plan.
Item 3 - £2,213
Last year the amount was £9,221 which included a grant of £6,126 from East Riding of Yorkshire Council for preventative work to alleviate future flooding in the village.
Item 6 - £1,726
This figure is lower than last year and reflects payments made on costs for flood defence work (£6,126), ERVAS grant for landscaping to Village Hall (£2,500), and Awards For All grant for production of the Parish Plan (£1,600).
Item 7 - £3,019 This figure is higher than last year as it includes VAT payment from Customs & Excise of £1,072. This sum being the VAT payment on the £6,126 payment for Flood defence measures. We had wrongly assumed as a non-VAT registered Council we could not claim repayment of this money and the amount would have to be borne by the Council.
