The renovation and repair at St. Helens Skeffling is now completed and signed off. Now we have to do the redecoration it never rains…….! Happy Jubilee

So much going on at the Square Meal preparing for the Jubilee Big Lunch, co-operating on the arrangements with the Duke of Edinburgh Award unit, hoping the menu will appeal salmon fish cake, rabbit pie, chicken salad, followed by chocolate brandy mousse, Eton mess and orange ginger cream.
But most important The Big Lunch is where the Easington residents can sign the Loyal Address on behalf of the Village and send their greetings to Her Majesty to acknowledge 60 years of devoted service on our behalf...so come to the Jubilee Lunch at 12 noon on Sun 3rd June and have a great time. Free issue tickets available from any member of the team.

On the 21st May, our trip went to Glasshoughton, Nr. Castleford, Beautiful sunny day. Plenty of shopping done. Our next trip is on Monday 18th June to Bridlington, calling somewhere on the way home.
This week the Evening News advertised one of their trips to Bury Market, the cost per seat was £23.50 which makes our trips good value for £9.50. We have a few seats left. Ring me on 650753.
Thank you everyone who supported our Saturday Coffee Morning last week, we raised the grand sum of £365.50.

Easington United- Footy At The Farm
The Easington Recreation & Sports Ground (Low Farm) will host the South Holderness Cup Final (sponsored by The White Horse Inn) on Thursday, 31st May (kick-off 6:30pm).
At time of going to print, we hold out hopes that this may be an all-Easington affair with both the First Team and the Reserves involved in semi-final action.
The First Team were due to meet Withernsea on Tuesday night (22nd May) with the Reserves playing Hedon Rangers Reserves the following night. Should both teams win and therefore meet in the final, it would be great to have a good crowd at Low Farm to celebrate a unique experience in the club’s history.
Admission is free with programmes on sale, priced £1 with proceeds going to the Neurosurgical Unit at the Hull Royal Infirmary.
Saturday, 26th May sees the club hold its Annual Presentation Evening & Race Night at Soccer Sensations in Hull.
The event forms part of the club’s hire agreement for the venue, which also hosts the Eastenders’ winter training sessions. Admission is £5 with coach transport available from the village (£5 return). Ring 01964 650133 to book.
