DIAMOND JUBILEE
The first meeting of the Easington Community Events Committee was held on 12th September.
It was decided to hold a Diamond Jubilee Celebration Party on the Youth Club Field on the 4th June 2012.
Letters will be going out to all households inviting children up to
the age of 15 and senior citizens of 70 or over to the party. There will be entertainment, a bouncy castle, children’s games, painting competition, face painting and children’s races.
Hopefully there will be some entertainment for the older generation. We are actively seeking funding at present and will be holding some fund raising events soon which we hope you will support.
Please make sure you fill in the slip at the bottom of the letter when you receive it and return it to either the Shop, School or a member of the Committee so that we can establish how many to cater for.

Evergreens
On Bank Holiday Monday, a coach load of us went to Burton Fleming (little village near Bridlington) to see the Scarecrows.
They were brilliant! and such a lot of them. It 's a lovely village and the people were so friendly and helpful.
Stalls were placed down the main street, selling everything from Glazed Pottery, Jewelry, Hand Knits, Home Grown Fruit and Veg and so much more.
The beautiful tiny village church was decked out ready for Harvest Festival and tea and home made cakes were available in the village
hall as well as a fine display of local Art.
Everyone came back to the coach laden with bags and having enjoyed it so much, we've decided to make it an Annual Event. We then went on to Bridlington for lunch and some more shopping. Next trip to Sigglesthorne and Beverley on 3rd October. Seats available. Ring Pat Clarke on 650753.
Youth Club News
The Bogey Race and Fun-Day took place on 28th August , around the village, continuing in the afternoon on the Youth Club Field. It was a great success and the weather was excellent. We hope that we can build on this success next year and make a good day even bigger and better. A total of £620.80 was raised and our thanks go to everyone who helped or attended on the day.
