2012

December:      Christmas Fayre in the Village Hall 1st December 11:00a.m. There'll be a raffle, tombola, cake stall, and lots of lovely Christmas goodies to make the festive season sparkle.

 

Easington Youth Club Xmas Fayre is on the 8th December.  Any donations can be taken to the youth club or to Christina Keyworth at 5 South Church Side or to Alison Lusmore at 14 Westfield Close.

 

November:      Bonfire Night, Monday 5th November starts at 6:00p.m.  Fireworks display from 6:45p.m.

 

October:        Badapple theatre company are coming to Easington Community Hall again on 23rd October 2012.  This production is called 'Eddie and the Goldtops' and is set in the 1960's more information in Easingtons November newsletter.

 

September      John Godber play “Happy Jack” Friday 21st September, light refreshments provided during the interval. Ring Sue 650330 or Julie 650069 for tickets £6 and further details.

 

Music from the Decades with Cherie Lawrence 1st September 7:30p.m.  Chicken roast included with the following ticket prices adults £10, children £5 and families £25 all proceeds in aid of Pancreatic Cancer.  Don’t forget to bring your own booze.  Ring Sue on 650330 for tickets.  {Full report in the Newsletter}

 

August           Sun 26th 1pm at Easington the Youth Club Bogey Race (Bogey’s to Y/C 12:30p.m) and Easington Produce Show (Entries 9/11a.m Judging 11/12p.m) {Further details in Easington Newsletter}

Coffee morning in the Village Hall 11th August at 11:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. Tombola, raffle, cake stall and lots more in aid of Pancreatic Cancer.

 

July:            The Pub Lads are playing at Skeffling Village Hall on Friday 13th July 7:30pm.  Buffet included prices adults £9, children £4, families £22.  Ticket bookings and further details from Sue 650330 or Julie 650069.  All proceeds in aid of Pancreatic Cancer.  Don’t forget to bring your own booze.  {Full report in the Newsletter}

 

June:            Are you all ready for the Jubilympics!!!  Di Horncastle hope’s to see you all at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Party (don’t expect many of us will get to the Olympics, shame), on the Easington Youth Club Field on the 4th June.

 

April:            Spurn Kilnsea & Easington Area Local Studies Group thanks to the kind funding by the Leader CWWW. RDP., the Heritage Trail is ready and will be launched on the 14th April at 10:45am in the Easington Community Hall.

 

Church News Friday 6th Good Friday 2pm.  An hour at the Cross (Easington).  Sunday 9th April 9:30am Easter Day Service at Easington All Saints’ Church.

 

March:          60s Disco...The last time we had a 60s disco at Skeffling Village Hall, it was a great success.  So much so that they're having another one!  7:00 p.m. Saturday, 31st March, As usual it's tickets only, and the prices are £9 for adults, £4 for children, and a family ticket for 2 adults and 2 children will be £22.  Supper will be a very classy buffet, with a lot of 60s style food.

 

Spurn, Kilnsea & Easington Area Local Studies Group, the first talk of the year is by Richard Swales on Antarctica, on the 20th March at Easington Community Hall all welcome, no charge for entry.  Watch out for the posters with further details.

 

This months Police Surgery at Skeffling Village Hall, is on Wednesday 14th March between 7:00p.m. and 8:00p.m  The Police Surgery isn't specifically to report crimes in the area, but to help and advise on home security, etc.

 

February:       Afternoon Tea... If you fancy having Afternoon Tea with your friends, you couldn't do better than come on down to Skeffling Village Hall 2:00 pm on Saturday 18th February. There'll be tea, coffee, cakes, and I guarantee the company will be terrific!  As well as a good old chat, you can buy a few raffle tickets, try your luck on the Tombola, and buy some lovely cakes to take home for tea.  There's also a bric a brac stall for all those little treasures you didn't know you needed!  Proceeds of the afternoon will go to this years charity.  {Full report in the Newsletter}
